Cookie Policy
Effective Date: 12-Oct-2022
Last Updated: 7-Nov-2026 What are cookies?
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are and how we use them, the types of cookies we use i.e, the information we collect using cookies and how that information is used, and how to manage the cookie settings.
Cookies are small text files that are used to store small pieces of information. They are stored on your device when the website is loaded on your browser. These cookies help us make the website function properly, make it more secure, provide better user experience, and understand how the website performs and to analyze what works and where it needs improvement. How do we use cookies?
As most of the online services, our website uses first-party and third-party cookies for several purposes. First-party cookies are mostly necessary for the website to function the right way, and they do not collect any of your personally identifiable data.
The third-party cookies used on our website are mainly for understanding how the website performs, how you interact with our website, keeping our services secure, providing advertisements that are relevant to you, and all in all providing you with a better and improved user experience and help speed up your future interactions with our website. Types of Cookies we use
On this website, cookies and similar tools are used in four ways. Apart from the first, none is used unless you allow it in our cookie banner.
- Necessary: remembering your cookie choice, and keeping the website secure and working.
- Functional: the live chat window (tawk.to) and learner reviews (Trustpilot).
- Analytics: understanding how the website is used (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity).
- Advertising: measuring whether our adverts lead to enquiries and payments (Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Meta, TikTok, OpenAI), and detecting invalid clicks on them (ClickCease).
Payments are made on a page run by Stripe, which has its own cookie notice. Some things are stored only on your device (browser storage) and are not sent to us: your Anatomy Lab session, a referral code if you arrive from a friend's link, and a note that a payment has been counted so it is reported once. Where a learner video is played from Instagram, it loads only when you press play, and Instagram may then set its own cookies. The names, purposes and lifetimes of the individual cookies are shown in the cookie preferences panel, which is kept up to date by our cookie tool (CookieYes). For how each provider uses information, see: Google, Microsoft, Meta, TikTok, OpenAI, tawk.to, Trustpilot and Stripe.
